I should probably save myself the hassle of writing a big long review and just tell you, "This bra is awesome!". The End.

What's that? You want more?! Okay, Okay. I'll take a few hours and pen my amour for this bra. (my family may not get dinner tonight).

Bra Observations

The wacoal strapless bra is very plain. There are no extra embellishments, not even a bow. It is simple, but man, it's a workhorse!

It is well stitched and very well constructed.

The bra comes with either 3 hooks or 4, depending on the size. I am 'blessed' enough to wear the 4 hooker. If I remember right this is the only bra out of the 4 I reviewed that was 4 hooks, the rest were 3.

Note to my big busted sisters: When looking for a strapless bra, you want to look for one with a wider band. This will help support you better. I talk about a couple other things you should look for on my full figure strapless bra page. Check it out when you get a minute.

Besides having a nice wide band, this bra had a few other features that really set it apart from the others. It's easier to show you with pictures than try to explain it with words, so I made a couple graphics to show you why this bra won my heart.

First: This bra had great structure provided by 2 boning supports on each side.

If you want a strong, sturdy strapless bra, look for one with boning supports. It will give your bra a fighting chance at holding up the girls.

Keep in mind that boning supports can sometimes be stiff, pokey, and uncomfortable especially the taller they are. The supports in the Wacoal are only 2-4 inches tall. Some longline strapless bras can have boning up to 12" (like the Goddess Longline Strapless Bra)  Make sure these boning supports are padded well.

Second: We need a strapless bra with silicone!

I'm not talking implants here!

I'm talking a non slip silicone strip that runs around the bra and gives the bra some traction on our skin so it doesn't slip down. If your bra doesn't have this feature you're going to be tugging and pulling all night.

The Wacoal bra had silicone all the way around the bra, even the cups. This thing felt really secure when I put it on.

It was hard to take a picture of the silicone so I drew arrows showing you where the silicone is.

And Finally: This bra has small pockets of cushion where the cups meet the band. LOVED this feature!

This cushion might not look like much, but it created a buffer space between the underwire and the boning strip so they weren't digging into my sides. Brilliant!

It's not a thick padding, so don't worry about it looking like you have little pillows in your armpits, it's just a very thin cushion lining. It's the same stuff that the cups are made out of.

Speaking of the cups. They are contoured and seamless. They're made out of the same padded foam cushion I mentioned before, so there's very little chance of any 'cold nips' popping out to say hello.

The rest of the band was a breathable mesh.

Okay, On to Fit and Support

I really really really liked how this bra fit me. The cup size and design just worked for my breasts. I've worn Wacoal before (one of my favorite sports bras is a wacoal) so I kind of knew this brand would work for me going into this process and it didn't disappoint.

When I'm trying on bras to review I keep a notebook near by to write down my initial thoughts. Here's what I wrote down for the Wacoal Strapless Bra.

  • Support = Excellent
  • Great Shape
  • Comfort A+
  • No Adjusting

It's really hard for me to find anything bad to say about this bra.

Final Thoughts of My Wacoal Strapless Bra Review

For me the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra was the best strapless bra I've tried so far.

When I make statements like that it always makes me nervous. I don't want ladies to think that this bra will also be the best for them. Although I definitely recommend trying this bra!

All of our breasts/bodies are different and that's why different brands work better for different people. My advice is to try several different brands of strapless bras and see which one works best for you.

So far I've tried 3 different strapless bras including the Elomi Strapless Bra and the Curvy Kate Strapless bra and I liked those bras too, but if I had to pick only one strapless bra to keep/wear it would be the Wacoal.
